ISN WCN Travel Grants

The WCN 2017 organizers are pleased to offer a Travel Grants Program for ISN members from Low and Middle Income Countries to attend the WCN.

The Travel Grant submission deadline was 28 November 2016.

Travel Grants results will be announced by January 2, 2017. Should your Travel Grant application be unsuccessful, you will still be eligible to register at the discounted early bird rate (deadline for the early bird rate is January 23, 2017). 

 

The Travel Grant includes a reimbursement of travel cost up to a certain amount (see below), registration to the Congress and covers a maximum of 4 nights’ accommodation at a hotel selected by the organizers on the basis of sharing a room.

The Congress will offer a contribution towards the travel costs to Mexico City based on the following maximum contributions. Travel Grants recipients are encouraged to book early ONCE ACCEPTED and to not leave booking to the last minute.

Maximum amounts of contribution are based on the following

From North America:                                      A maximum reimbursement up to 850 USD
From Europe, Russia NIS & Middle East:      A maximum reimbursement up to 1,150 USD
From Asia:                                                      A maximum reimbursement up to 2,000 USD
From Oceania:                                               A maximum reimbursement up to 2,000 USD
From Africa:                                                   A maximum reimbursement up to 1,750 USD
From South and Central America:                 A maximum reimbursement up to 850 USD

Reimbursement will be made in cash (Mexican Pesos) at the Congress in return for completed expense claim forms and copies of invoices/tickets/boarding passes or by bank transfer after the Congress.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR EARLY BIRD RATE if you are submitting a Travel Grant Application!

The Travel Grants are restricted to ISN members from Low and Middle Income Countries .

Priority is given to:

- young nephrologist (40 years old or younger), 
- nephrologist with an abstract accepted to WCN 2017
- past/present ISN Fellows and SRC participants. 

No more than 3 travel grants can ever be allocated to any one individual. Therefore please note that applicants who have already benefited from 3 ISN travel grants to attend a WCN in the past will not be eligible for this round. 

Please note that a copy of the passport will be request to all successful candidates. If it will be not received by the communicated deadline the grant will be cancel.
